1. Back up, if the phone still lets you
A screen replacement doesn't erase your data. A backup is still the sensible habit before any repair: Settings › your name › iCloud › iCloud Backup › Back Up Now, on Wi-Fi.
If the screen is too broken to use, don't worry — come in anyway. Tell the staff that you couldn't back up.
2. Know your passcode
The technician needs to test touch, Face ID, the camera and calls after the repair. You can type the passcode in yourself at the counter when you test the phone together.
3. Ask about Find My at the counter
Whether anything needs to be changed in Find My for your repair, the staff will tell you when you drop the phone off. You don't need to switch anything off at home beforehand.
4. Take a quick photo of the phone
Snap a quick photo of the phone with its case off, front and back. It's useful for you to remember the condition it came in.
